OUR EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Wayne Bartley

The Southern Christian Home Board of Directors has named Wayne Bartley as the Executive Director.

Carroll Sites, Chairman of the Southern Christian Home Board, highly commended Wayne Bartley: “The Board is fully confident that Brother Bartley can continue to direct the services offered at Southern Christian Home in a competent and efficient manner.”

The children’s home environment has been in Bartley’s blood since he was a child.  His father and mother served as houseparents at Boles Home in Quinlan, Texas during his growing up years.  He married a young lady, Teresa Phillips, whom he met while living there.

Bartley’s experience in working with youth continued after earning a B.S. Degree from Abilene Christian University and an M.S. from East Texas State University.  He taught high school for nine years and then moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico where he and his wife served as houseparents at Albuquerque Christian Children’s Home. Wayne also served in administration at this location.

In 1990, Bartley was named Director of Happy Haven Home in Cookeville, Tennessee where he and Teresa again served in the dual role of administration and houseparenting. The opportunity to be the Assistant to the Director at Southern Christian Home was offered in 1999.

They have three adult children:  Elizabeth, Luke, and Laura.
