To Help With
Many have called and asked, "What
projects does the home need help with?" As God blesses
us with your help and we in turn look for children we can help,
our needs change from time to time. Below are a list of 10 projects
the home needs help with.
Pass
on this list to others. You might find you can't
help with these items, but perhaps others you know can. One
way for you to help is to pass on our needs to others.
1)
Birthday Party Sponsors
- We need a congregation to sponsor our birthday party for a
single month. You choose the month. A Birthday Party Sponsor
would be responsible for: Presents for the children who have
birthdays that month. (3 presents under $25 for each child would
be very much appreciated by the children.) Birthday cake, cup
cake or cookies and a drink for everyone at the party to enjoy.
If you can't be here for the party, we'll host it in your absents.
Simply send the items to us in time for the party and we'll
make sure all the children know it's from you and your congregation.
The average cost for a Birthday Party Sponsor is around $400
but could vary depending on how many children have birthdays
that month.
2)
Cottage Sponsors
- This would be ideal for an individual or Bible Class to take.
Cottage Sponsors help a cottage to have an extra activity each
month. A trip to the movies or a dinner out at Pizza Hut. For
only $125 per month, a cottage can enjoy an evening out where
everyone gets a change of pace and a relaxing night out. A
Cottage Sponsor could also bring snacks and drinks, help with
children's birthday parties and special holiday events. We have
4 full time cottages and 2 relief cottages.
3)
Cottage Sheet Rock Project
- We have the sheet rock. We have the cottage. We need your
groups manpower to sheet rock. a room or the whole cottage.
If your group is looking for a community service project where
they can help out unknown numbers of children in a special way,
here's your project. By helping to sheet rock. our cottage,
your group will be giving future children a solid, clean, good
looking home to live in. The cottage is about 2,500 sq. ft.
4)
Sand and Paint Project
- We just built our round pen to help our children to learn
to handle horses. We need a group who can sand it down and paint
the round pen. This would be ideal for a youth group.
5)
Build Our Riding Arena
- We have all the materials for a 50' - 200' riding arena but
need the manpower to build it. Can you help? The arena will
be where our children practice their horsemanship.
6)
Maintenance Truck
- Our old maintenance truck engine died on us. We are looking
for an old used truck to replace the dead truck. Do you have
an old truck which runs nicely but has outgrown your usefulness?
Let us give it a second life here at the home.
7)
Computer & Network Equipment
- Some of our staff are still using Windows 98SE! If you work
for a company who is replacing their older computers with newer
ones or just happen to have more than you need, we need up-to-date
computers. We are also looking to build a network so that we
can more easily and securely share information campus wide.
8)
CCCC Project
- Conway County Community Center is similar to the YMCA. They
have a swimming pool, weight rooms, exercise equipment, gym
and more. They have given us an opportunity to enroll an entire
cottage of children for the cost of a single person's membership.
For only $150 per six months, a cottage can enjoy these activities.
Can you or your congregation help us raise the funds for the
children to enjoy CCCC? We have 4 full time cottages.
9)
A Cottage Christmas
- With Christmas time approaching, many are looking to providing
presents for individual children. Normally we suggest presents
which are $25 or below. We are also looking for congregations
who will step up and purchase a single cottage present which
the entire cottage can enjoy. Some ideas might include a X-Box
360 system or a portable DVD player system for the vans. Contact
us and we'll get a list of what each cottage might need or want.
We have 4 full time cottages and 2 relief cottages.
